Every month the City of San Pedro opens its doors to visitors celebrating the Fine Arts with its First Thursday ARTWALK!
San Pedro is a city that belongs to the County of Los Angeles District (annexed in 1909).
The variety of its population makes it rich with the diversity of culture and art.
San Pedro has the largest population of Croatians in the Pacific as well as the largest population of Italians in Los Angeles; and according to the most recent census from 2009, the ethnic composition of San Pedro is 44.6% non-Hispanic white, 4.5% Asian, 6.0% African American, 40.6% Latino and 4.4% belong to other groups.
The styles of art, sculpture, photography, painting and pop art fashioned by such a generous influence from the cosmopolitan gathering of artists living and working in such a temperate beach climate yield some of the most unique compositions!

The San Pedro Art-Walk offers fascinating paintings, installations, antiques, sculptures, photography, live painting, glass art, and lots more. Small museums also open their doors to the public.
Other attractions: Visitors can take a look at the Warner Grand Theater, open to the public since 1931. The Downtown Trolley provides free rides along the main streets of Downtown San Pedro (6th and 7th street) to all visitors.
Walking the streets of Downtown during the Art-Walk is such a joy. Every store displays its most colorful items, and every art gallery exhibits its most stunning art pieces.
The next San Pedro's Art-Walk will be featuring works from local artists, and over 30 art galleries will be open. This is an event you can not miss.
